Oscar 2011- Best Dresses

Halle Berry was looking super gorgeous at 2011 Oscars wearing a nude and crystal encrusted corset Marchesa gown with organza and silk tulle ruffles. She paired her gown with exquisite silver jewelry and nude makeup.

Natalie Portman was seen wearing a violet off shouldered gown with a v-neck and Swarovski crystal detailing by Rodarte. She wore great satin sandals by Jimmy Choo and Tiffany jewelry pieces.

Mila Kunis, the beautiful lady chose a light lavender lace gown from Elie Saab Spring 2011 Couture collection. She went for Neil Lane jewelry and carried a clutch by Bottega Veneta.

Get rid of whiteheads and other skin problems

Whiteheads, blackheads, blemishes, pimples, or zits are skin problem that starts when oil and dead skin cells clog up your pores. Sometimes they are also caused by bacteria. There are various treatment methods you can use to get rid of these problems:

1. Use facial steamer
Steam opens up your pores and makes it easier to clean out. You can purchase a steamer that is designed for this purpose or you can just use a pot of water and heat it on the stove. When the water is hot enough to produce visible stream, remove from the burner. Lean over the pot with a towel over your head to hold the steam in. Continue for few minutes. Follow by cleaning your face with a mild cleanser and rinse thoroughly.

2. Exfoliate
Using an exfoliate is another way to get rid of whiteheads or blackheads and to help keep others from forming. When you exfoliate, dry skin cells are removed and the sebum in your follicles is not as likely to get trapped inside. Do not overdo it! You should only exfoliate once or twice weekly.

3. Use mask
Use a facial mask. You will need a mask that hardens as it dries. It is very important to find one that hardens because other masks will not draw the oil out of your face. My personal favorite is “Queen Helene Masque, Mint Julep” (good for pimples).

4. Use antibacterial products
Pick a cream that contains benzoyl peroxide, a solid ingredient for eliminating whiteheads quickly. Benzoyl peroxide both kills bacteria and absorbs oil, helping to get rid of those pimples fast.

5. Use water-based make-up
Do not use oil-based cosmetics. This will contribute to the build-up of oil that is already in the skin’s follicles. You should use a water-based makeup that is non-comedogenic so that it will not block your skin’s pores. Regardless of the type of cosmetics you wear, you should always remove them completely before you go to bed.

6. Get facial
The skin care professional can perform extractions that involve gently pressing on your whiteheads to release the pus from within them. Do not attempt to perform extractions on your own, as you can seriously damage your skin.

The secrets of looking young

Here are the secrets of looking young:

1.Consume the foods containing antioxidants because antioxidants protect the skin from free radicals

2.Walnuts can keep your hair shinier and more youthful looking

3.Quit smoking. People who smoke have older-looking skin because smoking reduces collagen production

Simple tips to keep skin looking radiant

Cleanse
Use a gentle, non-soap cleanser that won’t dry out skin and is safe to use twice daily.

Moisturize
If you have oily skin and are prone to breakouts, look for a gel-based or oil-free moisturizer. Use a minimum SPF of 30 for the face and don’t forget the neck, chest area and back of the hands — parts of the body that are the first to betray your age.

Exfoliate
Gycolic acid, also known as alpha hydroxy acid, is clinically-proven to slough off dead skin cells, reduce the appearance of fine lines, and even out skin tone. Experts advise starting with a glycolic acid concentration between 5 and 8 per cent, and graduating to 10 per cent, the highest non-prescription dosage available if you don’t experience any irritation.

Vitamin A
Take care if you have sensitive skin as it can cause redness, itching and sun irritation. Vitamin A is a clinically-proven agent that can prevent wrinkles as it penetrates deep into the skin’s layers where collagen and elastin reside. Vitamin A increases collagen production, prevents fine lines and gives a polished look.

Pluck your own eyebrow

If threading your eyebrows is not your cup of tea like me, you can use this tutorial to pluck them up.

Shaping your eyebrow

I am going to share the basics of eyebrow shaping.

Examine your eyebrows in the mirror. Brush them up and over. Grab two sticks. Hold one stick against the flare of your nostril, and line it up with the inside corner of your eye. Make sure that stick is long enough to reach a little past your brow. You should have no eyebrows extending any further towards the center of your face than that stick. If you do, please pluck them, wax them or thread them, whatever – just get them out of there. Keep the other stick by your nose and line it up with the outside corner of your eye. Any eyebrow extending past that point needs to be gone.

If your brows are bushy, pluck or thread them from the bottom, creating a bit of an arch somewhere between the center of your pupils and the outer rim of the iris of your eye.

SWEET POTATOES, TOMATOES, CANTALOUPE: They refill antioxidant levels in your skin and help prevent wrinkles.

ORANGES, LEMONS, LIMES, GRAPEFRUIT: They are the main source of vitamin C and provides the supportive protein fibers that stop skin from sagging.

GREEN TEA: Gives your skin a healthy dose of EGCG (epigallocatechin-3-gallate), EGCG is a type of potent antioxidant that does all kind of good things for skin. It also helps prevent skin cancer.

SPINACH, TURNIP GREENS, BROCCOLI: These are the great source of vitamin A, which supports skin cell turnover and prevent drying.

FISH (SALMON, TROUT): It is the main source of protein and omega-3. Omega-3 helps protect skin against sunburn. Protein is required to build and repair skin cells and to make enzymes and hormones that help keep your skin glowing and beautiful.
